The Lodge

When you arrive on top of the Mountain and you set eyes on the wide open spaces you know that you are in Africa. On the drive to the Lodge you feel you have arrived in a hideout that offers complete seclusion from the world below.

With view to its name inspiring waterfall the Main Lodge was built in a fascinating way by using natural materials from the reserve. Roundly built rock walls are “going with the flow” of nature. A thatch roof which blends in with its environment gives a wonderful atmosphere.

We have supported African artist over years, exhibited and collected African art and craft which show the creativity, the spirit and craftsmanship of African people. When you walk around you find something “African”. We invite you to spend time on the covered veranda or anywhere in the Lodge, you are welcome to use the library of books, or just relax with a cup of coffee, tea or any other drink available.

One chalet gives you privacy for yoga or some exercises.  The environment is extremely important to us. Sigurwana is eco-friendly, uses renewable energy, is solar powered, enjoys spring water and prefers cooking using mostly organic ingredients with additional help of fresh product from our vegetable garden.

  • We manage water usage
  • Electricity and gas consumption
  • Diesel consumption
  • Use alien wood for hot water

Sigurwana Lodge is one of the most private places in South Africa. You will experience something special here. Be inspired, get a feel for Africa, be in harmony with nature, let the bush with its animals and birds excite you. It is good for heart and soul.
